Medical Grade Standards 

What distinguishes H2=E from many competitors is our commitment to the quality, testing and continued development of our machines. The Hydro Nova has formally entered China’s Class III medical device registration process and has undergone evaluation involving the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and the National Institutes for Food and Drug Control (NIFDC). It has also been introduced into several Grade-A tertiary hospitals in Suzhou, Nanjing and Nantong as part of multicenter, double-blind clinical trials.

Independently Developed SPE Pure Water Electrolysis

H2=E systems use medical-grade SPE pure-water electrolysis technology, with purified water as the only raw material. This process produces a consistent mixture of approximately 66.6% hydrogen and 33.3% oxygen.

Unlike alkaline electrolysis, SPE technology does not require an alkaline electrolyte, helping to avoid concerns such as alkaline mist, chemical residue and electrolyte-related component corrosion. It also helps keep the water in the humidification cup clear and free from visible discoloration or cloudiness, supporting clean, reliable performance during long-term use.

Water Quality Matters

Using your Hydro Nova is very easy to use, simply pour in distilled water and press start. Yet the only thing you need to check is the quality of the distilled water. To keep your Hydro Nova performing at its best, always use distilled water. Tap, mineral or impure water can leave deposits on the electrode plates, reducing performance and potentially shortening the machine’s lifespan.

Because distilled water quality can vary, we recommend testing it before every refill using a TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) pen. A reading of 2 ppm or below is suitable, with 0 ppm being ideal.

For added protection, the Hydro Nova also features a built-in water-quality sensor that alerts you if the water does not meet the required standard.

After more than nine years of supplying hydrogen machines, we know that insufficiently pure water can cause avoidable issues. That’s why every Hydro Nova includes a FREE TDS pen, making it quick and easy to protect your machine before each refill.

How Much Distilled Water Do I Need?

For Your Hydro Nova, you will need 2.6 liters of distilled water to fill it up. This machine comes with a water level sensor to tell you if the water level is low, plus on the back of the machine you can also physically see with your own eyes the water level. When the water is low, all you need to do is to top up the water level, to the mark shown on the machine, if by mistake you add too much water you can simply drain out, from the back draining tube.

We estimate with average use that you will use around 3 liters of distilled water every month.
